Sorbead R
Sorbead R is an adsorbent with a wide range of applications. Its high level of economy and reliability is derived from a combination of unique properties. Examples of economic benefits are high drying capacity and low desorption energy.

BASF Sorbead R is mainly used for the dynamic drying of compressed air, natural gas, technical gases (e.g. N2, O2, CO2) and liquefied gases.

Sorbead WS
WS is the only 100% water-resistant adsorbent with a high adsorption capacity. It is frequently used as a protective layer in combination with Sorbead R, Sorbead H, Sorbead Plus or other adsorbents such as molecular sieves, activated alumina, activated carbons and catalysts in order to increase the reliability of the system.

The high capacity of Sorbead WS enables it to be used on a stand-alone basis as well. With its high resistance against hydrothermal aging and low regeneration temperature, BASF Sorbead WS is ideal for applications where adsorbent regeneration with humid gas occurs e.g. heat-of-compression and blower-purge air dryers, air separation plants).

Sorbead Orange CHAMELEON
Similar to our Sorbead R adsorbent, Sorbead Orange CHAMELEON is a beaded silica gel with very high mechanical integrity. It meets the demand for a heavy-metal free and environmental friendly indicating agent.

With a new and improved indicator, Sorbead Orange CHAMELEON provides safe moisture indication without any concerns regarding carcinogenic ingredients. It also provides superior moisture indication with a crisp color change. The degree of moisture uptake is indicated by a color change from orange to colorless at approx. 6 wt % water content. However, it continues to absorb water from this point until reaching its maximum capacity.

BASF Sorbead Orange CHAMELEON regains its full adsorption capacity when regenerated. Its unique formulation ensures advanced stability against harmful UV-rays.
